MotoGP has published a 20-race provisional calendar for 2020 featuring the addition of a new round in Finland. The new season is set to start with a night race in Qatar on March 8 and finish in Valencia on November 15.

The new round in Finland is set to take place on July 12, subject to homologation of the new KymiRing Circuit. Other changes to this year’s calendar include the Thai round at Chang International Circuit moving from October to a new slot at the beginning of the season (March 22) and several rounds swapping dates. The Czech MotoGP on August 9 is subject to the confirmation of a new race contract.

The dates for pre-season testing have also been announced, beginning with a 2-day test at Circuito de Jerez on November 25-26, 2019. In the new year, Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia will host a shakedown test on February 2-4 followed by official testing from February 7-9. The final pre-season tests take place at Losail International Circuit in Qatar from February 22-24, two weeks before the season kicks off at the same circuit on March 8.
