Season 10 of the all-electric FIA Formula E World Championship is set to kick off in early January with the 2024 Mexico City E-Prix. Tickets for the season-opening event are now on sale.
A new era beckoned for Formula E in 2023, with the debut of the new Gen3 car; the most powerful and most efficient electric racing car to date. The Gen3 car remains in 2024, where Jake Dennis heads into the tenth Formula E season as the reigning champion. While Dennis remains with the Andretti team, plenty of other big name drivers have moved teams ahead of the new season.
Among the headline moves, 2016-17 champion Lucas di Grassi – the only driver to have multiple Mexico City E-Prix wins, moves to the AT Cupra team. Sam Bird has joined McLaren to make it an all-British line-up alongside Jake Hughes, while 2020-21 champion Nyck de Vries returns to Formula E after his half-season stint with AlphaTauri in Formula 1. De Vries partners Edoardo Mortara at Mahindra.
The Mexico City E-Prix has appeared on the Formula E calendar in almost every season since 2016. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the Mexican Formula E round moved to Puebla for the 2020-21 season. Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez has hosted every other Formula E race in Mexico, with the 2024 Mexico City E-Prix marking the eighth Formula E race at the venue.
Where to buy tickets for the 2024 Mexico City E-Prix
Tickets for the 2024 Mexico City E-Prix are on sale via Ticketmaster. There are three main viewing areas to choose from. Experience the excitement from the heart of the circuit, the Foro Sol, overlook the start/finish straight in Grada or be on the outside of the famous Peraltada corner with a seat in the Platino Plus grandstand.
Away from the on-track action, you’ll be guaranteed a day full of entertainment in the form of live music and a gaming area at the Allianz Fan Village, while food is provided in the food court. Bringing the family? The Kids’ Area is full of activities for the younger attendees!
How much will tickets for the 2024 Mexico City E-Prix cost?
Tickets for the 2024 Mexico City E-Prix range in price from $145 to $658 MEX. The most expensive tickets are found in the Platino Plus and Grada grandstands. Tickets in the Foro Sol are the most affordable, costing $366 MEX (or just over $20 USD).
Grada Grade 1 tickets are closest to the starting grid. Grada Grade 2 tickets offer views of the starting grid but are not alongside it, hence the cheaper prices.
Half price tickets are available for children under the age of 16, while infants aged 0 to 2 do not require a ticket. Note that a maximum of eight tickets can be purchased per booking.
